HHO Events has been announced as a finalist in the prestigious 2011 Australian Event Awards

HHO Events were named this week as among the most innovative and outstanding Australian event managers and are a  finalist for the prestigious annual Australian Event Awards to be presented in October.

Competing in the award category for Event Manager of the Year, HHO Events was selected from hundreds of entries from across Australia and an incredibly diverse range of industries to make the list of just four finalists in this category.

The Australian Event Awards Industry Night of Nights will be held at Sydney Olympic Park on Thursday 6 October, providing national recognition and celebration of outstanding achievements across the whole of Australia’s thriving events industry, from small-scale events in regional Australia, to multi-million dollar festivals and public events.

HHO Events was recognised for Event Manager of the Year

HHO Events, under Principal Helen Healy, is an award winning business based in Mildura with the ability to provide world class events in remote locations. The HHO team manage a diverse range of events including Arts Festivals, Conferences, Launches and Special Events, in regional and remote locations and is a specialist in Indigenous events across three states. With up to 12 events a year, 4 dedicated staff and a passion for their work, HHO Events are committed to providing clients with a memorable event that is always delivered on time and on budget.

In collaboration with like-minded individuals such as celebrity cook, Stefano de Pieri, Helen Healy has initiated many of the events managed and has a passion for regional Australia and the events management industry. This is evidenced by the diversity of the events managed, the loyalty of clients, the respect of her community and the reputation of her business.

Principal Helen Healy, was delighted by the news “My staff and I work extremely hard to ensure professional and successful events for our clients and this nomination allows us to pause and realise that we are very good at what we do”. “I particularly acknowledge my staff, past and present, our clients and supporters who all contribute to realising dreams, ideas and visions – we are particularly proud to be acknowledged nationally and by our industry peers”

The calibre and range of entries have continued to grow since the Awards started in 2009, and co-chairs of the judges Johnny Allen and Sandy Hollway said that more than 70 finalist entries across all categories represented some of the most worthy achievements in an industry brimming with creativity, innovation and professional talent.

“The 2011 finalists should all be proud of the invaluable contribution they are making to Australia’s highly successful events industry.”

The Australian Event Award winners will be announced at an Industry Night of Nights at ACER Arena, Sydney Olympic Park on Thursday 6 October.
